To say that TLC changed my life is an understatement. It allowed me to look at myself in new ways and understand the patterns that were behind my behavior so that I could get beyond them. As a result, I am much more open to new experiences, new ways of looking at things and helping others grow and develop.”

Kathleen Dougherty

“Our company has the added complexity of parents and sons working together. Through TLC, I was able to see my personal situation differently. Through consulting, I was able to understand how the dynamics of the family occur at work and I can now make conscious choices of how to participate fully.”

This goes for both work and life interactions. The experience is priceless."

Well Logo

It's always wonderful to meet new women executives who are facing the same issues you are on a daily basis. Their perspectives are the lenses through which we are able to reframe strategies and approaches that can help make our organizations even more successful.”

Jill Murray, Ph.D.
Director, Institute for Health and Wellness at Marywood University
Scranton, PA

Many of the women talked about the attitudes and feelings that made us different from men and how that was valuable! Vive la difference! And, of all things, we realized that men, too, labor under tight corporate restraints and narrow stereotypes that are imposed on their gender, as well. Today, in finding a way to re-define the workplace for women our greatest (and perhaps unintentional) accomplishment may be that we are liberating the men as well!”

Cassandra Alleyne
Financial Advisor, Merrill Lynch
Allentown, PA

The WELL seminar gave me a rare opportunity to take time out just for myself and personal reflection and learning. I enjoyed being at The Country Place and having the chance to interact with the facilitators and attendees of the program. Helping each other on our journey was very rewarding.”

Nancy Singer
AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals
Wilmington, DE

I became aware of the importance of creating a balance of work and fun so I would not burn out.”

Sara Therell
General Manager, Modern Salon and Spa

"There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of something that was said at the WELL Retreat. I have gained greater insight into myself and have integrated that into my work as well as my everyday life.  What an amazing experience!"

General Manager, Tropical Images

Ouch!
Resolving Conflict at Work

“This program gave me added tools for crystal clear communication...

Yvonne Cangelosi
Vice President, Sales and Marketing, SPEX Certiprep
Metuchen, NJ

Sylvia’s message connects the dots when she talks about transforming conflict as the ‘better way’ – getting people to think about an alternative – a better way. When she talks about our patterns: 'We can transform our patterns when we are able to look at them.' What I have experienced working with various leaders (of all levels and experience) is the inability to look at inner hardwiring and identify patterns that are not working or are ineffective when it comes to people. We need to periodically ask ourselves: 'How is my style working out for me?' 'Am I running up against the same frustrations over and over with others?' Sylvia reminds us of the internal baggage that gets in our way – when our natural reaction is to blame 'him, her, them,' etc. She’s very inspirational and sends a needed message for all leaders at all levels: We need to get out of our own way.”

Manager, Training and Organizational Development

Team Building/Team Building through Outdoor Adventure

"I brought my staff to The Country Place because we work as both a community building team and an emergency response team. Thus, having a sense of trust and unity as a team is vital to our work over the year. Between wonderful food, the beautiful and quiet locale, and the expert work of the Challenge Course trainers, our staff bonded quickly and was better prepared to tackle the coming year. As my staff constantly reminds me, it was one of the high points of our year."

New Perspectives

I now understand leadership as a mindset. I listen for silence, the pauses, the sighs, to the patterns of communication that lead you to patterns of behavior. That is where employees want and need assistance, yet until now I never realized that the people who work at our organization are requesting help in developing themselves as much as they want and need a paycheck. That's a mindset change."

Richard Harris
President, Spa Sydell, Inc.

Coaching and Consulting

“Through executive coaching my level of awareness has been elevated. I was helped to take off the defensive layer that was so much a part of my corporate attire. People think about change as a difficult process. Actually, as I developed tools for working with change, I realized I became more comfortable with myself, more relaxed in my business dealings, and more productive with my senior management team.”

The CEO Difference

“I cannot begin to thank CEO for everything. CEO provided an exceptional speaker and trainer. The staff appreciated and welcomed the unique energy, knowledge and commitment.  I learned so much myself in the midst of handling the little details of the day. I have sincerely made a vow to change those patterns that I learned about in the training. I will certainly use my new-found knowledge for the rest of my days!!!”

Terri Adams
Manager of Training and Contract Compliance, Three Rivers Center for Independent Living

I have reinforced my belief that I can break the cycle of silo-mentality (defensiveness) in the workplace. Thanks to the enormous support of the connections I made, I am a Total Leader.”

Brian P. Keefe
